E-book cover on a tablet reads "Don't Bite the Director" by T.M. Kirk. Pink background with red lips and fangs. Headphones and plant nearby.

Let me start out by saying that I'm a total sucker for romantic comedy. I think my love for them started growing up watching movies like Pretty Woman, Father of the Bride, and You've Got Mail just to name a few. Now as an adult I love watching these movies back and catching all the adult humor that went clear over my head as a kid. I have also quickly grown a love for reading romantic comedies as well. When I discovered author T. M. Kirk on Instagram and Threads, I was instantly drawn to their aura and just chill vibe. From there, the rest is history.

Because I liked the authors vibes I decided that I wanted to support their endeavors in the form of her writing. I quickly looked up their books and saw that they had a romantasy The Diamond Palace, that had just released on January 16th of this year. Then I also realized that they had a new book, a rom-com, titled Don't Bite the Director that was releasing April 1st of this year and that they were looking for ARC readers. I won't lie, I applied so fast to become an ARC reader, and I anxiously awaited word as to whether or not I was going to get a coveted position on their ARC team. When I found out that I had made the cut I was so excited and dove into reading the book as quickly as it had arrived. My fate was quickly sealed and I was hooked. I have now added a new author to my growing list of authors whose work I will continuously seek out time and time again. Keep reading and check out what I had to say about Don't Bite the Director.

The Review

“Don’t Bite the Director” shares a dual POV, that of Saiden Massaro, a vampire whose primary job is taking down rogue vampires and of Cora Lee, a movie director with a rare neurodegenerative disorder. When Cora runs into financial trouble making her movie, in walks a mysterious man during a casting call who may have the solution to all her problems. I love a good rom com and this one definitely hit the mark for me! It had me laughing out loud during certain parts yet swooning during others. It was funny in a genuine, down to earth, relatable way even with the paranormal vampire element. I was quite fond of main characters Cora and Saiden for various reasons. Not only did they had obvious chemistry that sparked off the pages, but they also had sassy yet endearing personality traits that I highly admired. This was a big win in my book and I will be recommending this one to anyone who loves paranormal romance and romantic comedies.
